AAPM 2008 Recap
Houston, Texas was home to the 50th Anniversary of the AAPM Annual Meeting. The start of this milestone show began on July 27th at the George R. Brown Convention Center. This was an exciting show for us, which included three well-attended, in-booth lectures. We were honored to feature Dave Vassy, MS from Gibbs Cancer Center, Raj Mitra, MS from Ochsner Health Systems and Kenneth Hogstrom, PhD from Louisiana State University. Dr. Hogstrom presented on Bolus Electron Conformal Therapy, which proved to be a topic of great interest from many AAPM attendees. While in Houston, .decimal® President, Richard Sweat and Senior VP, Chris Warner, MS, attended the Indo-American Society of Medical Physicists Education and Scientific Exchange Forum.
